Bond Proposal

The Pennfield Schools Board of Education approved to proceed with a bond election August 2, 2016

The proposal request will be for $8,250,000 with a 0.75 mileage increase.

SCHOOL ENROLLMENT DATES AND SCHOOL OF CHOICE INFORMATION

Have you moved into the Pennfield School District and need to enroll your children?  Or Have you signed up for School of Choice and received notification of acceptance for 2016-2017school year? Or Would you like to apply for School of Choice?

NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE ACTION!
NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT
Pennfield High School Media Center

  • Thursday, June 16th from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm
  • Tuesday, August 16th from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm

SCHOOL OF CHOICE unlimited applications are being accepted for grades Kdg -12 (except 4TH & 5TH grades), now until September 8th.  (applications received prior to June 10th will be eligible for June 16th enrollment, applications received after June10th will be eligible for August 16th enrollment if accepted.)

SCHOOL OF CHOICE limited applications are being accepted for 4th & 5th, 7 slots each, May 26th to June 3rd at 3:00pm. (If more applications are received than slots available at lottery will be held.)

An Affirmation of Discipline will be required prior to School of Choice acceptance.  State law (388.1705 sec 105(9)) states “A district may refuse to enroll a nonresident applicant if the applicant is, or has been within the preceding 2 years, suspended from another school or if the applicant has ever been expelled from another school.”

The 2016-2017 school year begins on Tuesday, September 6th!

PLEASE NOTE: Michigan law and school of choice section 105 & 105c requires that all children enrolling in a Michigan school shall submit a statement of immunizations, certified birth certificate, and proof of eligible district residency.  Also High School students will need a transcript to enroll.  For more information go to www.pennfield.net or call 269-961-9781.

The highest priority of the Pennfield School District is to provide students and families with a safe environment to learn and grow.Pennfield Schools is continuing to work with data collected during the strategic planning process last year.  Improving the learning environment and facilities was identified as one of the focus areas using data gathered from students, staff and community members.
