ozTryouts for the Wizard of Oz

WIZARD OF OZ( by Frank Baum, lyric and music by Harold Arden and E.Y. Harburg. Permission by Tams-Witmark Music Library, N.Y. New York) will be the spring district wide musical of this school year.  This is a wonderful family show and it celebrates its 75th movie anniversary this year. Pennfield High School will be sponsoring the show with money the students have earned from previous shows and from a $5,000.00 grant presented to the directors for the show by the Pennfield Education Foundation. We are continuing to earn grants and accepting money offerings to help with the show expenses. There will also be a couple of raffles and a garage sale in the spring to help with the props and costumes needed for the show.

The Directors, Steve Bowen and Amy Rosa would like to extend an invitation to all Pennfield students grades K-12, Pennfield residents, Pennfield employees and their families and past Pennfield graduates to audition for acting parts in the show. This is a huge undertaking but this show is well worth your time. You do not have to sing or dance to be in the show! There are lead roles that will have to sing but there are many parts that do not sing.   Rehearsals will be at a minimum but long enough to make sure the show is great!!Tentative rehearsal schedules will by given out at auditions.

If you would like to participate please consider the following dates for auditions and for a meeting to plan the backstage business. If you would like to audition for a lead singing role you must use music from the show which can be picked up in school offices or the Superintendent's office December 18th 2014- January 22nd 2015
